Last week I attended Spyder sales meetings for their 2011/12 product line. The new line is the most stylish, technical pieces of outerwear I’ve ever seen. I am very proud to be a part of the development of this line. Last year, our new VP, Russ Rowan, came on board and declared that the image of the brand, the voice behind Spyder, the direction of the products needed to come from the athletes. That was amazing and flattering to hear, but also a challenge. We sat down with the design team numerous times, bounced emails back and forth, made sure we were all on the same page for what the athletes wanted to see, and what the designers could produce.
The culmination of everyone’s effort came together last week. It was amazing. It was a pleasure to watch the entire Spyder global sales force come together on one place, a great team of professionals. And not to mention the new showroom in Denver wasn’t too shabby, and neither was the party.. Anyway, get ready to be wowed by Spyder, this is just the beginning! FYI, the “White Spyder” line developed by Chris Davenport, and Stian Hagen….. simply amazing, the best pieces of technical outerwear in the world. Period. Incredible work done on that project.
For more words, see the Public Works blog. Cheers to fellow athletes in attendance; Chris Davenport, Jake Zamansky, Julia Mancuso, Colby West, Roz G, Daron Ralves, Jess Mcmillan, Steven Nyman, and Stian Hagen.
If you are in need of a coat for winter 2010/11, I would suggest the Godfather. I have been sporting this jacket, I love it
