Skullcandy Trip Report #2 - Baldface Lodge

Photos: Keith Carlsen

Oh no, Skullcandy’s Luke Edgar ordered another round!

Oh yes, I like front flips!

Main Lodge. Baldface.

Muddy chained up tire.

The man that started Baldface, Jeff is way too rad.

Smith Optics Ben Flandro and me.

Erik Leines getting his method on… It was fun meeting Erik, dude is way cool and a fun guy to ski with.

Tanner Rainville looking smooth. Tanner had to bail a day early on the trip to go compete in Red Bull Cold Rush, I hope that went well for him.

Skullcandy Founder and Owner, Rick Alden, getting after it!

Rick and I hanging up top.

Pro Snowboarder Justin Bennee hitting a jump the cats built us up there. He was the guinea.. He came up a little short on this one. Too bad, cause it was a perfect 3.

After being lucky enough to watch Justin guinea, I hit it and was able to kiss tranny and ski away clean on this front flip. Fun jump at sunset. We each hit it a few times, along with Chris, the owner of Phatman shops in NYC, Chris went HUGE on this kicker.

Cool sticker.

I like sandwiches.

Bennee, Erik, me - in the cat.

My man Keith Carlsen with the essentials.

A new trick I’ve been working on; the STICKMAN.

Please don’t ring the bell.

The bartenders are not afraid to stand on the bar and serve you a beer bong either. Nice work Tamara!

Skullcandy’s Zack Leader approves.

Bennee likes it.

Leines like it too.

Keith and Tamara like it as well.

The whole posse likes it! Thanks Skullcandy!

The Fellas

Just straight thugging with the fellas on top of Baldy on Sunday.

Tyler Knoles, that dude me, Andy Harmon, Walker Willey, Parker Cook, Geoffrey Cook.

Trip report #1 Baldface Lodge, BC

I just got home from Baldface, BC. Trip was ridiculous, super fun mountain, our crew was rad, and all the staff up at Baldface were chill cats. I’ll get some additional photos soon, but for now, here are a few to show what was shaking up at Baldface. Thanks for the trip Skullcandy!

TGR’s New Movie - “LIGHT THE WICK”

TGR named their new movie for next fall 2010. I am pretty excited about being a part of the movie and in the athlete list above, been a goal of mine since I started skiing. TGR makes the best movies and I can’t wait to see this one. For more info, CLICK HERE.

I’m thee WEEKEND WARRIOR

To my delight, I have landed the most coveted cover in the world. WEEKEND WARRIOR. I can’t tell you how hilarious this is. I have no idea how I’m on this cover, but it’s really funny. And I’m honored:

Home for the next week:

Baldface Lodge, British Columbia.

I’m in Main Cabin, room #1.

Selkirk Mountains.

I’m looking out the window right now, 7:07am, BlueBird conditions. I just did a stretch class for 30 minutes, now we are about to eat breakfast and suit up…. I’ll keep you posted on the adventure.

Photo of the day

This shot was taken at Northern Escape Heli in mid-January. Very beautiful up there. I just got word I’ll be heading back to British Columbia on March 21 - 26, for a Skullcandy gig. Stoked. I’ll be hitting Baldface Lodge, just out of Nelson.

Mt. Raymond Epic

Today started out with a “two hour hike” to get to the peak of Mt. Raymond. At the trailhead at 5:15am. Crew was Jamey Parks, Elyse Saugstad, and Adam Barker.

A beautiful sunrise.

Some nice trees. At this point, I’m thinking, hmmmm, we’ve been hiking for almost 2 hours and we’re still quite far from the top of Mt. Raymond…

A nice view of Big Cottonwood Canyon from the west.

There it is… Mt. Raymond. Wow. Still a long way up there. Been hiking for 3 hours.

Keep it moving, up the ridge. I’ll get there eventually.

Well eventually, after hiking up for 5 hours. We got some killer images. Stoked to be up there. You could see Salt Lake Valley to the west. Looking down on Mt. Olympus, and an incredible view of the Wasatch to the north/south/east. Was nice to become more aware of my surroundings in my local mountains.

Here is the shot that made the day all worth it.

Good sights out for a quick Wolverine day tour.

Looking down Little Cottonwood Canyon, Wolverine cirque beginning in the foreground. Mt. Superior in the background.

Elyse Saugstad and I like it.

More sights, looking south. Fun day.
