Early Morning Sunrise

This morning I awoke at 4:25am to embark on an early morning cat ride into the backcountry for sunrise. It was brisk, air temperature at 2 degrees. But once the sun came out and lit everything up in a magnificent pink/orange light - it was all worth it. And then I got to ski 14″ of blower pow in a zone that we had to ourselves all day.

The rig

Bout to get into the rig

Cruising the open road in the cat

Skinny/Sketchy road

The Rig leaving us in the dark up top

The sun is thinking about making an apprearance

The sun lighting up some peaks behind me

More light - getting closer

To the left of me, almost my turn for sun

Mongoose likes it too, deciding he needs a photo

And here is the playground I had all day

Busted the Mongoose taking a photo.

Discrete is throwing a PARTY

Utah is the best.

Look at the view I was greeted with, walking to my car, after finishing a day skiing at Alta today:
