What a day, 84 miles biked today - we are only 40 miles from Portland. We’ll be in Portland by 3pm, I’m stoked to see my mom, my sister Jasmine, her husband Bruce, my niece Gwyneth, and friends. Me and Cody didn’t feel like setting up our tents out in farm country, so we rented a room in McMinnville - we each bought a beer and we are watching Old School and the beer tastes good. Be in Portland by 3pm tomorrow. Check out the pics from the long cruise and last night:

Today we woke up just out of Bandon,OR. We had a great campsite again, but the tide rose 6 feet and came, literally, within inches of our tents. Not too many sights today, we battled some headwind got awhile, then the weather looked stormy, foggy, sunny, windy, then foggy and a little rainy - now mostly calm and a slight breeze as I lay in my tent. Feels really nice to relax. We still managed to get in 62 miles today. We feasted tonight, Cody ate chili, beans, bread with jelly, spoonfuls of peanut butter. I had vegetable soup, wheat pita bread, some raw brocolli, cauliflowe, carrots, 6″ subway veggie sandwich, and cinnamon/sugar cracker things. We found lots of wild blackberries today - so good.
Cool trees about 10 miles from our campsite. That’s one of the funnest parts of the evening is locating a good spot to rest your bones. Tonight we are I’m the misty enchanted forest. I hope there Is no Blair witch.
We scored a killer campsite right by the beach. We battled some hills this morning through the remainder of the Redwood Forest, very beautiful area of the world - huge trees and you can just inhale the moisture.. We are getting lunch right now in Crescent City, just a few miles from Oregon. And guess what I did? Forgot my toothbrush - going to find one now …

Forest. Today we got in the thick of it amidst some beautiful enourmous 1500 year old trees. Mine and Cody’s bike set-ups are sweet: check out the flag on my trailer! And check out the name of this town we passed: Whiskeytown, USA
We plan on biking 80 miles a day up the pacific coast til we reach Astoria. From which we will follow the river to Portland. Day 1 in the books.
Coincidences? Life is a maze. You have the conscious and unconscious choice of Go left, Go straight, Go right, Straight, Down, Up, Up, Straight, Down, and so on .. Think about if you would have slept one second later this morning, brushed your teeth one less stroke, taken one more bite of cereal, one more second at that stop sign, one less sentance in that conversation on your cell. If you would have done these things differently than you already did, you might have just set yourself up to meet your signifigant other, seen something that sparks an iterest in a hobby that you become prodigy status, meet someone that introduces you to a future best friend, even causes a car wreck that leads to something signifigant. All because you, the stars, people, things, everything and anything happened exactly the way they did. We notice those chance events that occur at just the right time moment, and bring forth just the right individuals, to suddenly send our lives in a new and important direction.

Horoscopes: They are universal… Each sign and the characteristics describing each trait embody everyone… You are born, you realize what sign you are, and you read the sign you are under your entire life and agree - wow - that’s really me… What if someone told you suddenly that, in fact, your parents were wrong, and you were born under a different sign all along? You would start reading that sign and after awhile you would say - wow - that’s really me… But I will say that all this is at surface level… I think there is some signifigance in astrology.
